On Saturday, the Facebook profile of Irma Dleon posted two cellphone videos showing an unidentified woman telling an unidentified man in a restaurant to “get the f•ck out of my country” because the man was speaking Spanish.
Dleon’s Facebook post offered some details about the video, but did not mention where this took place or who was in the video. This is what she wrote:
“My daughter captured this situation while working. My poor baby was frightened but cannot believe this continues to happen. We should be united as a country but there is much hate. We are all human trying to help each other out. I will pray for this woman to be a better person, but you can only educate the ignorant. First they must listen.”
The following video below shows the two cellphone videos together. The video starts with the woman saying, “I lived in California for 20 years. English is our first language, so you need to speak English.”
At that point, the man apologizes. Then the woman says, “Well, I’m sorry about you too. Get the f•ck out of my country.” Other people in the restaurant react. Continue Reading
