Following a triple shooting inside their home in Henrico County, a mother and two of her children were critically injured a week ago. As the family and friends of the victims continue to process the events, they are preparing for a long recovery. On March 28, Tamara Harris was informed by a mutual friend that Tyesha Hall and two of her children were involved in the shooting in their home just off Mason Manor Drive. Tiye Washington II, Hall’s eldest son, is the alleged perpetrator of the shooting, which was reportedly a domestic-related incident. While the exact details of the incident remain unclear, Washington allegedly fired multiple shots inside the home, critically wounding his mother, his 21-year-old sister, and his 12-year-old brother. Hall and her two children are currently receiving critical care treatment at VCU Medical. He then fled the scene.

Police eventually found Washington in Rutherford County, North Carolina. Washington was killed on March 30 during a standoff turning shooting with Rutherford County Sheriff’s deputies.

Just a day before his demise, Washington uploaded a message to Instagram as his “last request.”
“My last request from humanity is that you seriously evaluate the care you have for each other. If this species is to ever evolve you must stop eating animals, stop warring with each other and take care of mother earth,” he typed. “Overthrow this sadistic government and rebuild. On a fresh foundation. It’s time for me to rest now..”
