First male ‘murder hornet’ trapped in Wash. state
A male Asian giant hornet has been trapped in Washington state for the first time, officials said Monday.
The hornet, also known as a “murder hornet,” was caught in a bottle trap placed by the state Department of Agriculture near Custer, Wash., where a mated queen was found dead earlier this year and a suspected bee kill was reported in 2019. Continue Reading
