Footage shows suspects in armed robbery outside Kansas City home
Kansas City police are searching for two suspects in a June 25 robbery
Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying two people who assaulted, shot and attempted to rob a man outside a Kansas City home in June. Law enforcement was called to a shooting scene just before 10:30 a.m. on June 25 near East 31st Street and Highland Avenue, Kansas City Police Department spokesman Sgt. Jacob Becchina said in an email Monday.
Video from a doorbell surveillance camera, shared by police, showed the attack. Two men, both seen wearing white shirts, appeared to walk up behind another man who was standing near a porch petting a small dog. One of the attackers hit the man over the head, then both assaulted him as he fell to the ground. The victim later stood up and stepped back with his arms up.
The victim was struck in the head with a gun and shot in the arm, Becchina said. He has since been released from the hospital.
