Porsha Owens was killed in front of her 3 young children between the age of 3 and 8.
She was shot Monday as she led her children to her car to take them to day care. She worked as a school safety officer in a nearby school district. Police say Owens was the victim of a failed carjacking. The gunman demanded her keys and money, but couldn’t start the vehicle and ran away.
Mark Haywood, 18, is charged with Murder in the death of Porsha Owens. He’s being held on $1 Million bond. Haywood shot Owens in front of her three children in an attempted robbery.
