Body-cam footage shows the moment when an armed suspect opened fire on Las Vegas Metro Police officers. Video shows two metro officers asking 25-year old suspect Miguel Salas to step out the vehicle and he kept refusing to co-operate and refused to step out the car. In a instant Salas grabs a gun and starts firing at the officers, both officers ran for cover and fire back at Salas. Salas died from a gun shot wound to the head.
33-year police officer Richard Nelson was hit in his lower left chest area and thanks to the bulletproof vest he is okay.
Police said units originally responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle, that was connected to a report of a stolen cell phone, parked in front of a business in the 4100 block of West Tompkins Avenue on Friday at 4:15 p.m.
